Year of Jazz Swings to a Close

Trinity University's radio station, KRTU, brought its "Year of Jazz" celebration to an end in up-tempo fashion Sunday night in Laurie Auditorium.

A year ago, the station chose to celebrate a decade of airing a jazz-driven format with a series of concerts staged in cooperation with local nonprofit arts presenters.

The "Year of Jazz" closed Sunday with "The San Antonio Jazz Suite," followed by the Jim Cullum Jazz Band's salute to jazz legends before a Laurie audience of around 1,200.

Join KRTU Jazz 91.7 for our 10-Year Anniversary on Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Laurie Auditorium on the campus of Trinity University.

The schedule of events will go as follows:

3:00 PM - DOORS OPEN

3:00 - 3:45 PM - MEMBER RECEPTION - STUDIO A - 4TH FLOOR OF LAURIE AUD.

4:00 - 7:00 PM - YEAR OF JAZZ GRAND FINALE CONCERT

7:00 - 9:00 PM - MASTERS OF JAZZ PHOTO EXHIBIT  - DICKE SMITH ART BLDG..

The event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
